If your spring cleaning has stalled somewhere between “I should really do that” and “but where would I even take this stuff?”—now is the perfect time to act!
I’m hosting a one-day event at Lake Union designed to help you responsibly declutter, recycle, and donate items that can’t be tossed in your regular bin. Whether you’re cleaning out your condo, prepping your home for sale, or just simplifying your space, this event is for you.
What to Bring
This event is more than just shredding (though we have that too). We’re set up to accept a wide range of items—all in one stop.
Shredding Services
Bring your old financial documents, tax returns, junk mail, receipts, and sensitive paperwork. We’ll have secure shredding on-site.
Electronic Recycling
If it plugs in or powers up, chances are it can be dropped off here. We’ll accept old phones, cords, routers, broken printers, chargers, remote controls, and other outdated electronics.
Clothing and Household Donations
Items collected will be donated to Out of the Closet, a local nonprofit thrift store that supports HIV/AIDS healthcare services. We’re accepting clean, gently used clothing, shoes, bags, books, small kitchenware, and more.
Hazardous Household Waste
We’ll also collect hard-to-dispose-of items like small amounts of paint, adhesives, expired cleaners, glitter glue, and similar items.
Miscellaneous Items
Have batteries you need to recycle? Eyeglasses you don’t wear? CDs, DVDs, light bulbs, or ink cartridges? Bring those too!
